We strive to create a social, fun-filled vibe within the dance classes, where students get to meet a new and diverse group of friends, while de-stressing and getting fit at the same time!

During this Covid-19 pandemic dance have not stopped and neither has the classes in our school. We adapted very quickly and we will keep pushing to create quality work. However, it has been a very difficult time for Cortes Dance to inspire as a small business, in this last lockdown in Melbourne.
Many of you have asked if we are running a donation box or any system to support us during this hard time.
Thank you so much for your consistent support.
No, most people come to our courses alone. We change partners during class so everyone will dance with each other. It’s social, nice and you will quickly get to know your fellow students.
We recommend comfortable clothes that you can breathe and move in. Many use normal training gear.
No, good dance shoes are a good investment after a while if you are dancing a lot. But it’s not necessary in the very beginning. Make sure the shoes you use are comfortable, light, sit well on your foot and have a little slippery soles. We don’t recommend sneakers.
We prefer if you do. It is not mandatory but due to Covid Measures it is important to sign-up so we can guarantee your spot.
No, no experience or dance background is required to join our courses. We have every level from Absolute Beginners . Many of our students started dancing with us without having danced before in their lives.
We have every age from 17 to 65 years. Most people are between 25 to 50 years old. Dance has no age limit, at Cortés everyone is welcome!
No, we change partners all the time throughout the class, because is important for us to cultivate a community environment. We offer personalised alternative for you and your significant other, like private lessons and some workshops.
